Sovereign Harbour name association with "The Crumbles"

It is hard to believe that established place names associated with an area is stuck forever like mud.

The story of the area called the Crumbles to the east of Eastbourne next to Pevensey on the coastal road is well documented.

The Crumbles as we now know as Sovereign Harbour has been the dumping ground of all the rubbish of Eastbourne for generation.

The rise of a New Community in the Cumbles named " Sovereign Harbour " took a new meaning to this area.

However, the name The Crumbles is still used by ASDA Superstore for its location in Eastbourne.

Also BT is slow to change its area name from the Crumbles to Sovereign Harbour.

Recently, the fire at Sovereign Harbour BOOTS Midnight was refered by the media as, the location in The Crumbles Shopping.

Even Ambulances and the local policing refer to the location of Sovereign Harbour in the Crumbles.

Time have to move on.

Yes, the name of the area which was the crumbles is now called Sovereign Harbour.

Those who sit far away from Sovereign Harbour have never visited us and have no idea where is Sovereign Harbour or for that matter The Crumbles.

It is time to educate those who are educated that the Crumbles Area which is part of Eastbourne is now called Sovereign Harbour.

Lets hope that the name of the Crumbles will change forever to Sovereign Harbour.

Merry X'MAS 2010 and Welcome to the New Year 2011.
